TeamTotalkare raise £1000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity

Totalkare have had a busy and exciting year of fundraising throughout 2019 in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity. The charity was selected to be Totalkare’s charity partner of the year by way of a company-wide vote.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity raises vital funds in order to provide the best experience possible for the children being treated at the hospital and their families.

In what can often be the darkest of times, the charity does all it can to shine some light, aiming “to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital’s services” (bch.org.uk). The efforts of private and corporate fundraisers and volunteers are essential when it comes to achieving this mission and making Birmingham Children’s Hospital the best environment possible.

Throughout the year, the team have participated in a variety of activities in order to raise funds, including a 5km Tough Mudder challenge, a summer buffet lunch with lots of homemade treats, raffles and monthly mufti days. Totalkare will be ending the year of fundraising on a high with a charity Christmas jumper week.

As well as fundraising, a couple of members of staff took up a volunteering opportunity at the hospital this December, taking part in ‘Elf Duty’, helping to sort and distribute Christmas presents to various wards.

Clare Abrey, Marketing Executive at Totalkare said “It was a heart-warming experience delivering presents directly to the wards and interacting with a couple of the young patients along the way. It was nice to have had the opportunity to support not only through monetary donations, but directly at the hospital as well”.

In all, Totalkare has successfully raised an impressive £1000, all of which will directly support children being treated at the hospital and their families.
