Suez upgrades Kensington & Chelsea depot with Totalkare wash bay lift

SUEZ upgrades Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea depot with galvanised four post lift from Totalkare

Suez Recycling and Recovery UK (SUEZ) have facilitated an upgrade to Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s wash bay lifting solutions through the purchase of a Totalkare heavy duty lift.

Part of the global SUEZ group, SUEZ delivers innovative and environmentally responsible solutions for waste from households and businesses. They handle over 10 million tonnes of waste and serve thousands of businesses and millions of residents across the UK, including in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC).

Galvanised four post lift

As part of a project being delivered at the RBKC Kensington depot, which services and maintains a varied fleet of council vehicles, SUEZ collaborated with Totalkare for the installation of a heavy duty vehicle lifting solution suitable for outdoor wash bay use.

Totalkare installed a galvanised heavy duty four post lift featuring a ten-metre platform length and 26,000kg lifting capacity. With sealed bearings and a fully galvanised finish providing long term protection from water ingress, the four post lift will assist the Kensington depot with their vehicle cleaning and maintenance activities.

The four post lift from Totalkare is available in both indoor and galvanised outdoor options, in a range of lifting capacities from 16,000kg to 33,000kg, and with platform lengths ranging from 7 – 18 metres. Additional options, such as jacking beams and lighting kits are also available.

Major modernisation project

The Kensington depot is currently undergoing a major modernisation project, of which the wash bay refurbishment was one part. The new lift is operated by SUEZ and used for the washing of vehicles that service the RBKC waste collection.
