Special Recognition For Dedicated Colleagues
Two highly valued Totalkare employees have received special recognition, and been presented with a reward from the company after each achieving 20 years’ service.
Field Service Engineer, David Georgiou, and Parts Controller, Carl Woodhouse, joined Somers Vehicle Lifts, as the company was then known, in March 2001. Over the years, David and Carl have witnessed many evolutions within the company – notably the change in ownership in 2004 and the recent relocation to much larger premises.
David Hall, Managing Director of Totalkare, presented the highly deserving employees with a generous Virgin gift card each, and said “It’s a pleasure to be able to say that we have some of the longest serving workers in the industry. We are always delighted to reward the experience and dedication of these colleagues.”
David Georgiou, who used to work with Post Office sorting and production lines prior to joining the company, explained that “when I started out here, the role was quite different. We had much more paperwork and no sat navs to help find your way to customer sites every day”.
David and his partner are looking forward to using their gift card to enjoy a couple of weekends away when possible.
Apart from a couple of stints supporting Major Repair sales, Carl’s role within the organisation has always been in the parts department, making him extremely knowledgeable in this area. In response to the product portfolio expansion over the years, the parts department has evolved and expanded.
When reflecting on his 20-year achievement, Carl said, “20 years seems like a long time but on the whole it’s gone pretty quick. It always helps when you work with great people and have help along the way.”
Carl is looking forward to using his voucher for an overnight stay in London, with lots of shopping and sightseeing.
