LC Vehicle Hire upgrades workshop with new set of Totalkare mobile column lifts

Industry leading commercial vehicle supplier, LC Vehicle Hire, further increased productivity with an additional set of heavy-duty mobile column lifts from the UK’s leading supplier, Totalkare.
After benefiting from Totalkare’s mobile column lifts at several of their depots across the country, LC Vehicle Hire decided to extend this to their Barnsley depot to fulfil additional workload. The commercial vehicle specialist provides both self-drive hire and sales of LGVs and HGVs. Short term and contract hire rental are a core part of their business, with a significant portion of their fleet being heavy goods vehicles.
With a large 1,900 vehicle fleet to maintain across the country, expert heavy-duty workshop equipment is required. The new set of hydraulic T8DC lifts will increase productivity in their workshop and make lifting operations much easier.
Lifting up to 7,500kg per column, Totalkare’s cable free T8DC mobile column lift can be configured in sets of 4, 6 or 8 to lift a wide range of vehicles, from light commercial vans to heavy duty four-axle vehicles. Its adjustable forks can accommodate a range of wheel diameters, making it a truly versatile lifting solution for workshops.
Totalkare can offer both cabled and cable-free mobile column lift options, as well as indoor and fully galvanised outdoor solutions, providing a flexible lifting solution for all requirements.
Pat Graham, Operations Director at LC Vehicle Hire said “All of the lifts across our depots are the older S6CF models as we prefer the cable free option. This recent purchase of the T8DC was the first hydraulic lift that we have acquired, and we can honestly say, we are very happy with them. They are very simple and reliable to use.”
Jack Longstaff, Area Sales Manager for Totalkare, said “LC Vehicle Hire now have nine sets of cable free lifts spread between six depots. Pat and his team insist on using the Totalkare cable free lifts, due to the neatness and easy manoeuvrability. Having no cables also reduces trip hazards within the workshop which is a big plus for health and safety.”
