Heavy-duty lifts a hit at the Commercial Vehicle Show

This year’s Commercial Vehicle show provided a successful debut of TOTALKARE’S new 5500kg 2 post lift, as well as the debut of the Halesowen company’s range of hydraulic cable-free lifts generating a large amount of interest.

The launch of the new 5500kg 2 post lift at this year’s show was a success. The 2-post lift from TOTALKARE has a safe working load of 5,500kg, and is ideal for smaller light commercial workshops and companies that have a mixture of HGVs and van fleets, that require regular maintenance and repair work. The new lift has a lifting height of 1985mm, a drive-through clearance of 2613mm, a lifting speed of 60 seconds and a range of optional extras for lifting specific makes of commercial vehicle.

Also, making their debut at this year’s Commercial Vehicle show were TOTALKARE’S hydraulic cable free column lifts which generated a huge amount of interest during the event at the NEC in Birmingham. The new lifts can be used in sets of four, six or eight with a capability of 7,500kg per column. Lifting operations can be controlled from any column, whilst the adjustable forks have been designed to fit a variety of wheel sizes from 700mm to 1,400mm.

Cable-free versions of the new lifts can be charged using an ordinary wall socket, so there’s no requirement for three-phase power, and the lack of cables significantly reduces the risk of trips and falls.

Built to last, both cabled and cable-free designs feature an inverted hydraulic cylinder inside the carriage protecting the chrome piston rod, and, for extra peace of mind, like all lifts supplied by TOTALKARE, the hydraulic models can be covered by the company’s AfterKare package of maintenance support.

Alongside the ever-popular mobile column lifts on display was TOTALKARE’S Heavy Duty Fixed Post lift which is available in a range of capacities from 16,000kg–33,000kg and with platform lengths of 7–18m. TOTALKARE’S fixed-post lifts are suitable for lifting most types of bus or coach, and the lighter models are ideal for minibuses and other more compact public service vehicles. Galvanised versions are also available for outdoor and wash bay use.

Tristan Johnston, Sales & Marketing Manager at TOTALKARE, says “Visitors to the stand were given an insight into our expanding range of lifting solutions, which have now expanded to include a 2-post lift to target smaller light commercial workshops as well as visitors being able to see our ever-popular cable free column lifts”.
