TotalKare customers to benefit from FREE ancillary check with every service!

TotalKare is pleased to announce that from 2018 it will now be offering free ancillary safety checks as part of any AfterKare service visit.

Many customers already take advantage of the range of AfterKare solutions from TotalKare including planned maintenance contracts, fixed rate contracts covering call-out, travel and labour fees and reports of thorough examination, but this extension to existing AfterKare packages ensures that all TotalKare lifting equipment and related ancillary products are regularly inspected for defects and that their safety has been checked.

Free ancillary check to ensure safe use

Expert advice is available over the telephone 24 hours a day via TotalKare’s 24hr direct service line (0121 585 2727) and now, for added peace of mind, AfterKare customers can now benefit from a free ancillary item check to ensure items are fully functional and safe to use.

This covers TotalKare’s full range of ancillary products, including support stands, small wheel adaptors, trailer beams, forklifter systems, mobile access steps and light vehicle adaptors.

Compliant with relevant legislation

Depending on the package selected, TotalKare’s AfterKare solutions adhere to both the Provisions and Use of Workshop Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) through servicing and reports of thorough examination.  TotalKare’s Reports of Thorough Examination cover all relevant aspects of health and safety legislation.  These reports should be seen as a complete set of requirements for the client’s heavy duty vehicle lifts in the workshop.

Although ancillary equipment such as support stands and small wheel adaptors are not directly covered by LOLER regulations (since they do not lift items directly themselves) it is considered good practice under PUWER regulations that a safety check on these items is carried out by a competent person at regular intervals alongside pre-use and daily checks before using such equipment.

With TotalKare now including the free ancillary check in all AfterKare packages as standard, customers can always be assured that not only lifting equipment but associated ancillary equipment is also safe for use.

To take advantage of the free visual health check of ancillary equipment, please request it when booking the service appointment.
