Aimee’s expansion aided by Totalkare

Staffordshire-based passenger transport firm, Aimee’s Travel, has invested in a second set of heavy-duty vehicle lifts to help meet the demands of it growing vehicle fleet.

Early in 2015, the company purchased its first cable-free lifts from TOTALKARE and engineers at the Leek workshop were so impressed with the equipment they’ve already taken delivery of a second set.

Over the past year or so, the company’s fleet of minibuses, buses and coaches has nearly doubled in size, from 12 to 22. Space was at a premium in the workshop and there was a growing need to be able to turn vehicles around more quickly when they needed routine maintenance or service checks.

The new lifts are helping the company achieve this, and helping the company make best use of the available space. Being cable-free, they are also making it much easier for the growing firm to comply with important health and safety legislation.

As well as operating a fleet of coaches, which provide daily transport for hundreds of local school children as well as being available for private hire, the family-run company is well known locally for its TaxiCo brand which has been established in Leek for more than 20 years.

Tristan Johnston, TOTALKARE Sales and Marketing Manager, commented: “Aimee’s Travel offers an excellent example of how our S6cf lifts can help small to medium sized firm’s to  boost productivity whilst, at the same time, improving their health and safety processes.

“In smaller workshops, these models are particularly useful as there are no cables – which can be expensive to repair if they are accidentally damaged and can potentially increase the risk of trips and falls.”
