AC Refrigeration and RLA increase productivity with Totalkare brake tester

A specialist in the hire, repair and maintenance of refrigerated and commercial vehicles, AC Refrigeration and new sister company RLA Commercials are set to benefit from significant cost savings and workshop flexibility with the introduction of a Totalkare mobile brake tester.

Formed in 2003, the East Anglian based company, which prides itself on its high level of expertise and personal customer service, guarantees to provide modern and well-maintained vehicles at extremely competitive prices. By regularly maintaining fleets of vehicles for customers, RLA realised the costs that could be saved by purchasing a Totalkare mobile brake tester.

Totalkare’s DVSA-approved mobile brake tester can accommodate up to 20,000kg per axle and a number of wheel bases up to 4,000mm. The brake tester comes with a tablet device which uses a virtual display to show all the readings of the test, and a touchscreen-based remote control, enabling brake tests to be conducted from the driver’s seat in a matter of minutes.

“With fleets of vehicles that needed testing more frequently, upgrading our workshop with a mobile brake tester was a no brainer. It is more cost effective than a fixed unit for us, and will increase our productivity from the outset,” said Luke Kennedy at RLA Commercials. “We were impressed by the site visit from the Totalkare representative, who gave us clear information about the product and advised us on the best area for it to be situated”

“AC Refrigeration and RLA were impressed with Totalkare’s reputation and professional approach in helping them to decide on the ideal piece of testing equipment for their workshop,” said Adam Bowser, Area Sales Manager at Totalkare. “Our mobile brake tester is a robust and flexible solution which can test a high number of vehicles per day to help improve workshop efficiency.”
