One of the UK’s leading suppliers of infrastructure engineering services has increased efficiency in its Chesterfield rail depot following the introduction of mobile column lifts from Totalkare.

TRAC Engineering operates a variety of specialist vehicles to service, maintain and repair railway lines – and with the introduction of six Totalkare cable-free T8DC mobile column lifts the aim is to help increase the ease at which their vehicles are repaired and maintained.

Featuring state-of-the-art hydraulic lifting technology, the T8DC mobile column lifts can safely lift up to 7,500kg per column. They can be deployed in sets of four, six or eight to suit a variety of lifting requirements. The T8DC column lifts only require a single phase 230V power supply to function, and their cable-free connectivity makes them a truly versatile lifting solution for any commercial vehicle, ranging from bus and coach, through to waste and recycling vehicles, heavy haulage and everything in between.

“The current maintenance that is being carried out on our vehicles is becoming increasingly difficult, with our workshop team having to lay on their backs to get underneath the vehicles,” commented Carl Long – Haulage & Logistics Manager at TRAC Engineering. “The investment in Totalkare mobile column lifts has allowed easier access to the underside of vehicles and a more comfortable working environment for our operatives.”

Jack Longstaff, Area Sales Manager for Totalkare, agreed: “Our T8DC mobile column lift is the first choice for many of our customers because of its build quality, flexibility and ease of use. The adjustable forks, which support a huge range of wheel diameters, are another feature that make the T8DC a perfect fit for TRAC Engineering and through our comprehensive service offering, they will benefit from our world class support.”
