A family run construction company based in West Wales has recently acquired an in-ground brake tester from workshop equipment experts, Totalkare. This investment promises to optimize the safety and efficiency of their fleet operations.

In a strategic move to improve their maintenance procedure and provide a much needed service to other local hauliers M plant hire ltd has opted for Totalkare’s DVSA-approved in-ground brake tester, designed for strength and durability it can accommodate vehicles with axle loads ranging from 6,000kg to 20,000kg. It can be seamlessly integrated into a pit or as part of an ATF (Authorised Testing Facility) lane, ensuring versatility and efficiency in their testing processes.

One of the standout features of the Totalkare in-ground brake tester is its roller area cover plate design, which is angled to minimize the risk of tire damage. In Addition, the roller wear surfaces are based on mesh steel, providing both durability and precision in measurements.

Totalkare’s In-ground brake tester comes equipped with a tablet interface, allowing users to control and monitor test results directly on a handheld unit. The easy-to-use diagnostics software further enhances the data collection, storage, and presentation of results.
