Dennis Eagle Add Capacity To Workshop With Help From Totalkare

Totalkare is pleased to announce it has partnered with Dennis Eagle for the supply of mobile lifting and testing equipment at multiple sites across the UK.
The refuse collection vehicle manufacturer, which produces more than 1,000 units every year for local authorities and private sector contractors in the UK, has expanded its vehicle lifting capacity at several of its workshops with the addition of T8AC mobile column lifts. In others, it has introduced a DVSA-approved mobile brake tester from Totalkare to increase fleet availability and offset the cost of outsourced tests.
Totalkare has installed a set of six T8AC mobile column lifts in Dennis Eagle workshops in Merthyr Tydfil, Manchester (Trafford Park), Winsford and Croydon, with their Ellesmere Port workshop receiving two sets.
Dennis Eagle’s Winsford workshop is also now running a Totalkare mobile brake tester, as are workshops in Portsmouth and Basingstoke.
The T8AC mobile column lift is a versatile, flexible solution for commercial vehicle workshops with a safe working load capacity of 7,500kg per column. It can be configured in sets of four, six or eight and features adjustable forks to accommodate vehicles varying wheel diameters.
The mobile brake tester features bi-directional rollers and can test up to 16,000kg load per axle. It comes supplied with a computer, monitor, printer, cabinet and handheld unit which communicates wirelessly with the brake tester and enables tests to be conducted with ease from the comfort of the driver’s seat.
Mobile brake testers from Totalkare can also be upgraded with a variety of bolt-on features including tachograph calibration, load simulation, extended on-ramps and more.
Preferred supplier for workshop equipment
Dennis Eagle’s purchase of mobile column lifts and brake testers is the latest in a string of investments in Totalkare lifting and testing equipment and extends a relationship stretching back some 25 years. All items will be covered by a Totalkare service contract which includes two field service engineer visits per year and brake tester calibration as standard.
“Totalkare is our preferred supplier for all commercial vehicle workshop equipment, not just for the quality of the equipment itself but the calibre of aftersales service we receive,” said Andy Hunt, Contract Manager at Dennis Eagle UK, “Having equipment that doesn’t let us down is vital when it comes to maximising fleet availability across our contracts – adding lifting and testing capacity in our workshops is a commitment to achieving this.”
Brian Young, National Accounts Manager for Totalkare, added: “Dennis Eagle has been using Totalkare mobile column lifts in their workshops for many years now and are familiar with their quality and reliability. The introduction of mobile brake testers at Portsmouth, Winsford and Basingstoke are expected to deliver significant cost savings over time, while immediately improving fleet availability.”
