West-Midlands based workshop equipment specialist, Totalkare, has announced Ben as its chosen charity partner! 

Ben – Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund – is an established UK charity specialising in providing support for those in the automotive industry. Bolstering existing internal support for mental health by advising on plans for employee engagement.

Ben offers support available to anyone who has worked in the automotive industry in their career, providing services to individuals in crisis and their dependents. This covers a range of offerings from free life coaching and specific mental health support to Alzheimer’s care, residential care, bereavement services and help with physical wellbeing.

Ben was selected as part of Totalkare’s ongoing efforts to improve employee satisfaction. Having recently been named second-best manufacturing employer and the 12th best small company to work for in the UK by the Best Companies employee engagement survey.

Totalkare already provides mental and physical health support internally with a designated mental health first-aider, social events, cycle to work scheme and combined healthcare benefits through a third party. Working with Ben will expand the services available to all employees at the head office and engineers across the UK.

Totalkare will be organising events such as Ben’s Big Breakfast and seasonal activities to encourage donations, in addition to encouraging individuals to participate in further fundraising. In March Totalkare also entered 2 teams into the Benathlon to raise money and awareness for the cause.
