INVESTMENT IN SAFETY: A2B NEWQUAY TRAVEL ACQUIRES MOBILE BRAKE TESTER

A2B Newquay Travel has taken a leap forward in fleet safety and maintenance efficiency with its latest addition: a mobile brake tester from Totalkare, a leading UK provider of workshop equipment for commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, and the rail industry.

This latest addition reflects A2B Newquay Travel’s ongoing focus on safe, efficient, and dependable fleet management. The mobile brake tester provides precise, compliant brake performance analysis and can be conveniently deployed across multiple service locations, offering the flexibility needed in a busy commercial workshop environment.

Capable of testing a wide range of heavy-duty commercial vehicles, the mobile brake tester enables A2B Newquay Travel to conduct reliable brake tests without the need for a fixed installation. The standard model can test vehicles with axle loads up to 16,000 kg, while an upgraded version can handle up to 20,000 kg, making it ideal for commercial brake testing.

The design of the mobile brake tester is simple, strong, and flexible, and it is supplied with a tablet unit that communicates wirelessly with the equipment. This tablet features a virtual display showing all test readings and a touchscreen-based remote control, enabling brake tests to be conducted from the driver’s seat in just minutes. The system can also be customised with a range of additional features to meet specific workshop requirements.

“We’re continually looking for ways to improve both the safety and efficiency of our operations,” said Derek Martin, Managing Director at A2B Newquay Travel.  “The Totalkare mobile brake tester allows us to carry out fast, reliable, and accurate brake performance tests on-site, helping us maintain our fleet proactively and with minimal disruption.”

“We are delighted to support AB2 Newquay Travel with this investment,” said James Phare, Area Sales Manager at Totalkare. “Our mobile brake tester will help ensure their fleet operates safely and reliably, while offering the flexibility needed to meet day-to-day workshop demands. It will also help them save time and money rather than outsourcing brake tests”.
