Based on the Pensnett Trading Estate, West Midlands, the office is currently staffed by approximately 40 office and workshop staff and additionally serves as a central base for the nationwide network of engineers and sales managers.

The original layout of the office included two floors, a gym, and an integrated break area, however had been outgrown throughout the covid-19 pandemic with new hires made whilst staff were working from home. Each of the levels has been redesigned to maximise space and improve wellbeing, with additional meeting rooms, new creative zones, alternative workspaces, and separated break areas across the three floors.

Following the completion of the new floor and the associated addition of approximately 20 new desks, there are now surplus desks available for non-office based employees to work from the office if they choose to, with standing desks also available for all employees who wish to hot desk.

The reaction from staff to the new workspace has been overwhelmingly positive. David Hall, CEO of Totalkare, commented:

“We moved to our offices in the Prime Point development of the Pensnett in September 2020. In the short space of time since then, Totalkare has seen incredible growth and we recognised the need for more space whilst wanting to remain in our current location.

Our office development was finished smoothly and on time, thanks to collaboration from ourselves, Evolve Construction, Rhino Interiors, and landlord LCP. The new environment has already demonstrated significant benefits to staff productivity and morale. Totalkare now has more room to grow, and we look forward to hiring more talented individuals in the future.”

David Charlton, Associate Director at LCP, said: “It’s always gratifying to see our tenants grow their businesses and we were only too pleased to work with Totalkare as it looked to reconfigure its space to accommodate more staff. We wish it continued success for the future.”

A spokesperson for Rhino Interiors added: “We were delighted to be invited back to work on this project for Totalkare, redeveloping three floors of office space into a solution to enable the business to work in an agile way, allowing for future growth, and making their vision a reality.”

Totalkare are now continuing to work on plans to develop the interior of the workshop, to be able to hold more stock and improve on existing lead times.
