TotalKare provides solution to ease forklift maintenance for Rushlift Ltd

TotalKare – the UK’s number one provider of heavy-duty vehicle lifting solutions – has supplied its updated forklift system to Rushlift Ltd in Slough following a successful trial demonstration.
Rushlift Ltd located in Slough, part of the $20+ billion Doosan Group, provides various sized forklifts for rental and sale. Rushlift approached TotalKare to provide them with a safer method of carrying out maintenance on their forklifts. Previous maintenance methods at Rushlift had seen workers laid on the floor using blocks to slightly raise the forklifts to access the underside of the vehicle. This was an uncomfortable working position for maintenance operatives to carry out their work, causing back ailments on occasion.
Safer environment for materials handling equipment maintenance
TotalKare’s forklift system comprises two of its popular T8DC cable-free column lifts with infill plates and drive-on ramps to assist. By utilising TotalKare’s forklift system, it enabled Rushlift to access to the underneath of the forklift whilst also providing wheel-free access – a key reason behind Rushlift’s purchase decision. Since the forklift system can be stored away when not in use, it also frees up space within the workshop, enabling Rushlift to make best use of their working area.
Adam Bowser, Area Sales Manager for TotalKare, said “Our forklift application is a great solution for those with limited space in their workshops to carry out forklift maintenance. Providing a live demonstration for Rushlift allowed them to see the application in situ, showcasing the many benefits it can provide.”
Alan Clark, Group Asset Manager for Rushlift Ltd, said “Using the mobile ramps allows us to have a safer environment for the engineers to maintain our materials handling equipment.”
