We need a Field Service Engineer Manager to lead a growing team of Engineers within our Dynamic and rapidly expanding business.
This is a new position that has been created to ensure that we preserve the fantastic reputation we have with our customers by being Experts in everything that we do whilst being Effortless to deal with. You will work closely with the Service Manager and their team to ensure that our customers get the first-class service that they deserve.
Your main purpose is to recruit, train, grow and develop a world class team of engineers that can deliver awesome service safely and efficiently in a Friendly environment. The role will evolve and develop as we continuously launch new products and services creating a unique and unrivalled offering to the commercial vehicle market.
What does a typical day look like?
A day in the life of the Field Engineer Manager ..
- Leading your team of regional supervisors across the country with a hands-on approach to ensure that their teams are working efficiently and to the highest standards. You will be removing any roadblocks that they have to facilitate their success
- Ensuring that the training needs of the team are delivered and monitored by your Product Experts with a focus on ensuring that the team are fully prepared for each new product that is launched
- Managing operational Health and Safety within your team, whilst ensuring Environmental and Quality requirements are adhered to
- Liaising with the Customer Service, Sales and Field team to resolve major issues that have been escalated to you that arise throughout the installation and maintenance process whilst ensuring that there is an effective risk management approach in place to minimise any disruption to our customers
What we need you to have ..
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
- The ability to recruit, develop and structure a team to support the fast growth
- Ideally have lived the life of your team with practical experience in electro-mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Experience in planning and managing schedules and budgets
- Commercial aware with the ability to make the right choices in difficult circumstances
- H&S / Quality qualifications and experience of creating a safe working culture
- Clean UK driving licence
- Flexibility with working hours with some nights away from home
